Play and work in the morning.
Lily took a nice 2 hour nap.
Off to Hobby Lobby in search of jersey knit fabric. It was too expensive - $7.99/yard.
We did find a little Easter basket and some sock monkey stickers - both on sale :-)
Then off to Target to check out their jersey knit sheets. I found a set of red ones for a toddler bed. Regular price $12.99. On sale for $3.88. Thank you. I will take those. They worked out for the couch to cover the 2 cushions that are not so pretty. I need to keep the $25 DI couch nice :-)
Oh and Lily tried on some headbands at Target. Maybe I'll go back and get them...
Lily attempted an afternoon nap, but she was too busy playing in her crib. Silly girl.
Lily passed out around 7, woke up for a little bit and is now back to bed at 8:30pm. Let's pray she sleeps a few hours. I'm planning on going to bed very soon. I'm afraid I will be up a few times tonight. Oh the joys of motherhood.

Just chewing on some chicken
I might need to throw this toy away. My mom says if its made in China, it probably contains lead. No bueno.

Chicken Sausage Pasta
http://www.johnsonville.com/recipe/three-cheese-italian-style-chicken-sausage-oven-roasted-pasta-primavera.html
I made this for dinner tonight. The grocery store didn't have the Three Cheese Italian Style Chicken Sausage. I bought the Cheese & Chipotle Pepper Chicken Sausage instead. Still very good and had a nice spice to it.
If I make this again...it was very good so I thinking will be, I will change a few things:
Add more zucchini.
Use cubes of mozzarella instead of shredded Parmesan cheese.
Tait said this dish was picture worthy, but we ate it up too quick. I think Tait had 3 servings...so I think it was good :-)
I ended up freezing a few servings for later. Now we need to start eating that food in the freezer! Tomorrow I'm using some pasta sauce that i froze that I made a few weeks ago. It has Costco tomato sauce, green bell peppers and ground beef. Hopefully it still tastes yummy after being frozen.

Bath time!
Lily has grown to love bath time. She loves to play with her rubber duck, cup, and just splash around. I don't mind getting wet...I just laugh when she splashes everywhere.

Music
Lily loves listening to music. We pretty much jam all day to Pandora while I'm working. Today she stole my phone and listened to the Juno soundtrack.

2/13/13 Lily photos
I forgot to post some pictures of Lily yesterday. Oops!
She has received a few of her very own Valentine's Day cards. This baby is loved for sure :-)

Happy Valentine's Day!
Random day today....
I babysat Calais while Shaunell went to Cetera's Valentine's Day class party. Lily was bugging Calais. It was so funny to watch them together. Lily kept grabbing at Calais' ankles. Calais would say "no baby no". Too funny!
It is also my Uncle Brad's birthday today. I hope he had a great day despite the trials he is going through right now. We think of you very often and love you guys lots!!
I also gave Tait his other V-Day gift which Lily helped me make. I need to post a picture of the awesome gift that Tait made me. It looks Pinterest inspired, but he made it all by himself. I am one lucky girl to have such a great family!

V-Day Gift
This is what I came up with for Tait. He has been asking for a simple dry erase board for...forever! I jazzed it up a bit by adding our name and a little heart.

Balloons
Lily and I went over to Spencer & Shaunell's house today to watch the girls. I tried getting more pictures, but that didn't happen. Sorry!
Lily had tons of fun watching Calais, Cetera and Aislyn play.

Bedtime Routines
Lily gets a bath every night...or at least that is the goal. Tonight she listened to the washer run while I got her bath ready.

Remember these?
We bought Lily a Gloworm yesterday. The plan is for it to be a "crib only" toy. We'll see how that goes...

Baby Food - Pears
Today I steamed and puréed some pears for Lily. I use 2 pears and plan on freezing most of it in ice cube trays for later use.
Ingredients:
Pears (any kind you would like and looks good)
Directions:
- Peel skin from pears
- Cut pears into chunks
- Steam in pot slightly covering the pears with water for about 10 minutes
- Purée to desired consistency
- Cool in the fridge
- Divide into ice cube trays and freeze
- When ready to serve, you can microwave for about 15 seconds or put into a mesh feeder frozen. If serving warm, you can add rice cereal and/or milk (formula or breastmilk).
Enjoy!
