Happy 9 months to Lily!

My little baby is 9 months old and I can't believe it! Where did my newborn go?
Lily is SO close to crawling. I think once she does, she will wonder why she didn't start sooner. She enjoys eating graham crackers, applesauce (homemade and gogo squeez), prunes & apples (for those difficult days), baby cheerios, and anything we are eating. She had her first taste of Thai food the other night.
Here are some pictures from today.
I wanted to take pictures of her in her dress...but she wasn't having it. Poor girl got a fever later this evening.
So, I gave her some bath time. She loves her baths!
9 month old pictures ended up being in her pajamas. Tait was pretending to hit his head on the wall to make her laugh. She was cracking up! Lily loves her daddy so much! She looks like she is crying in some of the pictures, but I promise she was laughing.

Thursday Night Dinner

We decided to eat out tonight at Emmett & Ethel's in Lehi. I had some babysitting money burning a hole in my wallet. It was actually pretty tasty. We both got burgers and they were HUGE! Even thought the meals were huge, I had to try their homemade ice cream. I got a scoop to go. One bite and I had to stop - it was so good! I want to enjoy it later when I'm hungry again. Maple nut...so good!

Ps - we are still waiting on Walmart.com to deliver Lily's new highchair. I'm excited for it to arrive.

Growing!

Lily must be growing...and teething. She has taken really good naps the past two days. Poor kid - I think she is getting teeth on the top. Do teeth come in some sort of order? Another thing I must google.

1st photo - napping yesterday

2nd photo - rainforest frog gummies found at Winco today. I was there getting inspiration for Lily's birthday party...that will happen in about 3 months!

Green Beans...and some chicken

I made some more baby food today. I started with green beans first. Then, I got a little risky and did some chicken too. (I boiled cut up pieces of chicken breast and added a pinch of Italian seasoning.)
I added some green beans to the lovely looking puréed chicken. Then...I tried it. Um, not horrible. I won't eat it, but Lily will.

Balls & Buckets

Lily has really started to enjoy playing with balls. She loves when you roll them back & forth with her. She also loves putting in & taking things out of buckets, baskets, bowls, whatever. I love this cutie!

Making baby food

Yesterday I puréed some bananas and froze them. They were hard to get out of the ice cube tray...I might not do that one again.

Today, I am steaming some apples, pureeing and freezing. Lily loves apples mixed in with her oatmeal. I'll add a pinch of cinnamon for a little different flavor.

I also plan on pureeing some green beans I bought from Costco. A huge bag of frozen organic green beans was around $5! Some for us...some mushed for baby girl :-)

Another busy day

It was another busy day, but lots of fun.
We woke up, got ready, worked a little, and headed out to get the car fixed...again.
It is finally fixed!!
We then headed to Vivint to pick up paperwork and say to my coworkers. My boss wanted me to listen on to a conference call about expense reporting for New Zealand. Vivint is selling in NZ this summer :-)
I grabbed some salad to go down in the cafe but no time to eat lunch. I ended up grabbing a Wendy's kids meal and ate in the car. We stopped quickly at home to refill the diaper bag. Then, up to Draper to play with the Hwang kids.
Tait came to Draper for dinner. Yummy tacos and brownies for dessert.
Tait and I finished the night walking around Ikea for a little bit. I could walk around there for hours. We found a bed we want to get Lily when she gets older...much older. It's one of those high beds with a desk underneath. I always wanted one of those growing up. I loved my daybed though.
Enjoy the pictures from today :-)

Busy day

My morning started out...well....Lily blew out of her diaper. So, bath for her and shower for me. We then went back to the mechanic to get our car fixed again. We spent about an hour there and as we drove away the car started squealing again :-( Tait called them on his lunch break. I guess I'm headed back there again tomorrow for a new belt.
Lily and I rushed home and I got to work for the day - checking emails and doing work online.
Around 2 we headed up to Draper to play with the Hwang kids. Lily and I have lots of fun with them. Lily is getting old enough to play with and enjoys watching them play. Lily was laughing and dancing with Tyler today - so cute! She had fun with Ellie playing girlie games - dollhouse and playing with baby dolls.
Lily and I headed home to meet Tait for dinner. I planned on making homemade pizza but Tait suggested Costa Vida. I can never say no to the Costa :-) it was a great way to end a busy day. I love my little family!

Legs & Feet

Lily loves playing with her legs & feet! We are totally enrolling her in a gymnastics class when she gets older. Tait wants to take a tap dance class with her...quality daddy & daughter time I guess.

Babysitting Weekend

We watched the Hwangs on Friday and Saturday night. Lily had fun with the big kids. Tait and I are tired, but love playing with these kiddos :-)

Another Friday Project

I'm on a roll today. A few weeks ago I picked up some cheap frames at Ikea. Tait brought home some art samples from work. I thought - perfect for the bathroom!

Friday's Project

I saw these cute little fried egg gummy candies at Winco. I had to get some! I thought of Athena (my sister's adorable little girl) right away. She is random, like her aunt, and would appreciate something so weird.
Well, then we decided they were cute for Easter gifts...so I made a few bags for our family party next week.

....and a picture of Lily sleeping earlier today. She loves her sock monkeys!
